The Link Editor

Overview

The Link Editor Is Activated By Clicking The Pencil Button In The Top Right Corner Of Your Link.

Once Clicked, A Set Of Inputs Will Open Below Your Link To Make Changes, And A Set Of Controls Will Open In The Top Left Corner Of The Page, To Control Changes Made To Your Link.

To Keep Track Of Which Link You Are Editing, You Will Notice The Pencil Button In The Top Left Corner Illuminated White, And At First, The Link Title's Number Matching The Link Control's Title Currently Being Edited.

Inputs

The Inputs Found Below Your Link Change It's Appearance And Actions, And Are Unique For Each Separate Link.

You Are Able To Modify The Title, Destination, How The Link Will Open, And The Inputs Below Each Link Will Only Change That Link.

Some Links Have Already Been Provided On Trail's Head To Start Off New User's Pages, And These Can Be Modified Like Any Other Link.

Controls

The Buttons Found To The Left Of Your Link Control The Changes You Have Made. Using These Buttons Will Submit, Clear, Or Cancel Your Changes.

Using The Top Sites Button, You Can Browse The Web's Top And Trending Websites To Use For Your Link.

Title Input

The Title Input Is Displayed Below Your Link And Will Be Previewed As You Type.

Title Inputs Can Be Up To 30 Characters Long. If Your Title Needs To Be Shorter, You Will Be Prompted To Do So Before You Save Your Link.

Link Input

By Entering A Hyperlink or URL In The Link Input, It Will Direct Where Your Link Takes You. Once The Link Input Is Modified, An Image Will Also Begin To Be Generated For Your Link.

Using Trail's Head Top Sites You Can Browse The Web's Top And Trending Sites To Add To Your Link.

Window Input

Using The Selector Below Open In, You Can Decide How You Want Your Link To Open. Either In The Same Window Or A New Tab.

By Default, Links Will Open In A New Tab Or Window. Links Opened In The Same Window Will Direct You Away From The Trail's Head Website.

Link Image

Images Are Automatically Provided For Your Links, Based On The Domain Name Of The Link Your Creating.

If An Image Is Not Found For Your Link, The First Letter Of The Site Will Be Provided As An Image For Your Link.

Clicking Reset Clears Your Link's Inputs And Returns The Link To The Default State.
