Overview

Clicking The Pencil -- In The Top Right Corner Of Your Link Will Activate The Link Editor.

Once Activated, A Set Of Inputs Will Open Below Your Link To Make Changes To It's Actions And Appearance.

A Set Of Controls Will Also Open In The Top Left Corner Of The Page To Control Changes Made To Your Link.

Inputs

The Inputs Found Below Your Link Change It's Appearance And Actions.

You Are Able To Modify The Title, Link Or URL, And How The Link Will Open.

To Start, Some Links Have Already Been Set. These Can Be Edited Like Any Link.

Controls

The Buttons To The Left Of Your Link Control The Changes You Have Made.

Using The Controls For Each Of Your Links Will Save, Reset, Or Cancel Your Changes Made.

Use The Top Sites Button, To Browse The Top And Trending Websites To Use For Your Link.

Title Input

The Title Input Is Displayed Below Your Link And Will Be Previewed As You Type.

Title Inputs Can Be Up To 30 Characters Long. If Your Title Needs To Be Shorter, You Will Be Prompted To Do So Before You Save Your Link.

Link Input

By Entering A Hyperlink or URL In The Link Input, It Will Direct Where Your Link Takes You.

"http://" Is The Standard Protocol Used In The Link Input In Case The Website You Navigate To Does Not Have A Security Certificate.

Secured Websites In Most Cases Redirect Your Hyperlink Or URL To "https://", However You Can Manually Change The Protocol As Well.

Window Input

Using The Selector Below Open In, You Can Decide How You Want Your Link To Open. Either In The Same Window Or A New Tab.

By Default, Links Will Open In A New Tab Or Window. Links Opened In The Same Window Will Direct You Away From The Trail's Head Website.

Link Image

Images Are Automatically Provided For Your Links, Based On The Website Name Of The Link Your Creating.

If An Image Is Not Found For Your Link, The First Letter Of The Site Will Be Provided As An Image For Your Link.

Save Button

Clicking Save - - Updates The Changes You Have Made To Your Link.

If Your Link Needs To Be Modified Before It Is Saved, You Will Be Prompted To Do So After You Click Save.

For Registered Users, After You Click Save, You Will Also Be Prompted To Save The Changes Made To Your Account.

Top Sites

Click Top Sites - - To View Lists Of The Most Popular And Recently Trending Websites By Category.

Top Sites Will Open In A Separate Window, And Allows You To Easily Copy Hyperlinks Or URLs For Your Links.

All The Websites Found Within Top Sites Can Be Navigated To As Well By Clicking The Link Images Found.

Cancel Button

Clicking Cancel - - Closes The Link Editor, And Your Changes Will Not Be Saved.

As Changes Are Shown To Your Links As You Make Them, They Will Still Be Displayed, But Not Saved.

Clicking The Pencil -- Again Also Closes The Editor. Your Changes Will Still Be Displayed, But Not Saved.

Reset Button

Clicking Reset - - Clears Your Link's Inputs And Returns The Link To The Default State.

A Blank Link Clicked Will Leave You On Trail's Head.

Once A Link Is Changed Or Reset, It Cannot Be Restored.

Clicking - - Help

Will Open A Shortened Version Of This Tutorial On Trail's Head.

At First Prompts Will Assit You With Using Trail's Head As Well.
